Hey warriors’, working out is supposed to be a fun, challenging experience that can be full of self rewarding principles. Here today we decided debunk some fitness ‘myths’ to create a list which we deemed worthy of the title ‘The 3 biggest exercise mistakes’.
When individuals exercise, mistakes are bound to happen. We have all started somewhere. Here are the 3 biggest exercise mistakes we see happen on a regular basis.

Counting Calories
Counting Calories
- Beginners tend to base how effective a workout is on how many calories they have burned. It may be insightful to know you can burn 300 calories in 30 minutes, but the true benefit of working out comes from what you do with your body after exercising (Check out our recovery blog post)
It is safe to train for Strength
- Many beginners feel like they can only do cardio workouts, but if your not gaining strength, you’re missing out on all the warrior benefits. This doesn't mean you have to do 1RM heavy dead lifts and squats. However you can get some awesome benefits using tubes, bands, and your own body e.g. plank.
We recommend strength training regularly about 2-3 times a weeks. Start immediately and you will become a lot closer to you true warrior self. Strength training helps to:
§ Increase lean muscle mass
§ Strengthen your lower back and core stabilization
§ Improve cognitive functioning and overall productivity
§ Increase sleep, allows regular sleeping patterns to develop
§ Control depression, the brain sends out endorphins signalling a sense of happiness rewarding your hard work both during after post workout
§ Improved digestion, your bodies are built for being active in a holistic well being.
You just worked out, reward time?
- Great so you just survived a mammoth of a workout, and your heading out to dinner, not normally having dessert, but of course you worked out you earned it right? Wrong! Don’t do it.
You have to believe that your workout becomes your way in which you can shape and transform your body. Use your diet to control your weight loss, not your workout. It may seem harsh but all that hard working out can go to waste with all these extra reward meals.
